Our story
From two graduates to a decade of building.
We started Brainfloss in Mumbai in 2016, fresh out of university, as a two-person bespoke software development firm. Over the next decade, our work expanded into training, products and community learning, with a new home in Pune and a UK entity along the way.

- Mumbai
Two people, building bespoke software.
We started Brainfloss fresh out of university, as a two-person software development firm. Our work began with bespoke systems: understanding what a business needed and turning that understanding into software built around it.
Working at that scale kept us close to the code and the people it was for. That connection between a system and the everyday work around it still shapes how we approach a project.
- Learning and training
Sharing what we knew became part of the work.
By 2018, we were providing learning and training services alongside software development. Helping people understand technology became a service in its own right, drawing on the practical work we were doing as developers.
It added another dimension to Brainfloss: building useful systems, and helping people gain the knowledge and confidence to work with them. Development and training have been part of the company together ever since.
How we approach training - Pune
A new home for the company.
In 2020, we moved from Mumbai to Pune. The company that made the move had a broader practice than the two-person software firm we had started four years earlier, with development and training both part of its work.
Pune became our base in India and remains home to our work today. The address changed; the connection between building technology and helping people use it continued.
- United Kingdom
The story extended to the UK.
We established our UK entity in 2022, adding a UK presence to the business we had built in India. It was another step in a journey that had begun in Mumbai and continued in Pune.
Today, we work from London and Pune across aviation, charity and enterprise operations. Bespoke development and practical training remain at the centre of that work, alongside AI implementation and decision intelligence.
- Brainfloss Foundation
Making room for more people to learn.
The Brainfloss Foundation started in 2025. After years of building software and delivering training, it gave our commitment to practical learning a community focus: helping more people find a way into software and AI.
The Foundation’s programmes are still taking shape, with plans for accessible learning, mentoring and community workshops. We will share those plans as they develop. The belief behind them is simple: everyone deserves a way in.
The Foundation’s next chapter - DonorStack and Aeronys
Client work grew into products.
DonorStack and Aeronys launched in 2026. Both began in client engagements, where the problems we were working on reached beyond a single organisation. Turning that experience into products gave us a way to address those needs more broadly.
DonorStack brings donor management, Gift Aid and due diligence together for UK charities. Aeronys brings bookings, training records, invoicing and compliance into one place for flying schools. Both carry forward the same practical approach that started with bespoke software.

The software and the people using it belong in the same conversation.
Our development and training work have grown alongside each other since 2018. Today, that combination shapes how we approach AI implementation, bespoke software and decision intelligence: understand the work, build the system and help the team use it.
Our products apply that experience to charity and aviation operations. Through the Foundation, we are also developing ways to share practical knowledge more widely. Each part of Brainfloss connects building with learning.
